130 submariners welcomed home by families
SUBMARINE HMS Talent came home to Plymouth yesterday.
After seven months and 27,000 miles at sea, the submarine docked into Devonport Naval Base and her 130 crew members were reunited with their families.
Hundreds of family members, friends and well-wishers lined the jetty at the naval base, cheering the vessel in.
It has been a busy deployment for Talent. As well as working to provide peace in the Middle East, the submarine conducted engagement visits to the United Arab Emirates, India, Jordan and Crete.
The sub left Plymouth in February and is due to spend the rest of the year at Devonport, with Babcock Marine providing maintenance and weapons upgrades.
