91-home eco-village plans for north Plymouth are submitted
DEVELOPERS of the Bickleigh Down Eco-Village have applied for planning permission from Plymouth City Council.
The proposed space would provide up to 91 homes in 'code 6', which is viewed as the highest and most effective category of eco-housing.

Public consultation has already started on Bickleigh Down by designers CornerstoneZED architects.
Letters were sent out to neighbours on September 20 and if successful, the development would be the first of its kind in Plymouth.

The new village aims to be a great place to live and work with a community green open space, a community café/bar and a covered market area.
It would create up to 33 jobs on-site in the assembly of the zero-carbon homes as well as in restoring the woodland for the local community.
Plans also include spaces for businesses to set-up.
Developers also hope the scheme would be used by city schools for learning about the environment.
A spokesperson from the Bickleigh Down Eco Village development said: "We continue to engage with the local community and await the outcome of the planning decision in November."
