“If you passed your driving test after 1997 you have to take a B+E test to tow a trailer over 750kg up to 3.5t loaded.
Granfather rights are no longer applicable to leaners, your accompanying driver must have B+E or above this has only recently changed as anyone who had passed pre 1997 could sit next to you before this.
I know this as I have it and it was worth doing if you tow.”

“@BettyD
You would 'do' him? What if it's a woman? Lets not jump to conclusions about the sex of the driver!
The animals don't really need much space - I think somewhere in the region of 0.3 m2 per animal if they're small or young. Lets not jump to conclusions about the size of the cows!”

“greenvikki
Not quite true about the trailers. It depends on when you passed your test and the weight of the trailer, old gits like me don't have to but sprightly youngsters do. These regs apply to trailers over 750kg and below 3500kg.
I think...
Reeeeeeaaaaalllllly complicated regulations.”

“I was stuck in this traffic jam and It was NOT a horsebox, it was a cattle box! I couldn't see any sign of cattle anywhere so hopefully it was empty.”
