Adam Virgo has to call it a day due to knee blow
A knee injury has forced former Yeovil Town defender Adam Virgo to retire at the age of 30. Virgo had been without a club since his release by Bristol Rovers in the summer, after an injury-hit two-year spell at the club. His last game was against Wimbledon in October 2012. Virgo came through the youth ranks at Brighton and went on to make 158 appearances in two spells. The central defender, who could also play up front, joined Celtic in a £1.5 million deal in 2005. He rejoined Brighton in 2008 before moving on to Yeovil in 2010 and then Bristol Rovers. He had a loan spell with Exeter City in 2002-03.
