A great opportunity to spring clean your farmyard and help farming families in need is presented with the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution charity auction at Buckfastleigh Racecourse on April 6.

RABI is asking farmers to donate unwanted machinery, tools, bygones and other equipment to the charity for the Rendells auction.

Regional manager Pam Wills explained: "The sale was a great success last year and is a fantastic way to support the farming community by selling items that are no longer of use to you and may be in the way, but could be just what someone else is looking for. Rendells will be reserving auction lots for larger donations and allowing RABI to have a stall to sell the smaller items."

RABI's involvement in the sale is being co-ordinated by Philip Wrayford. He said: "I very much hope people will support us as it is a very good sale. We need to know beforehand what people will donate. The items can either be brought to the racecourse early on the day, or we can arrange collection.
