Albion coach forced to sign new full-back
PLYMOUTH Albion coach Nat Saumi is looking to sign a new full-back to replace long-term injury victim Louis Messer.
Summer signing Messer (above) was only expected to be out for between two and four weeks after suffering what the club thought to be just a minor knee injury on his home debut against Leeds last month.

But it has now been revealed the former Bath Academy player has ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), meaning he is likely to be out for most of the season.
"It is a blow," said Saumi. "With him out and Henry Slade going to be with England Under-20s as well as possibly getting called up by Exeter for the LV games, I am going to have to start searching again for someone else.

"I will try my best to find another full-back.
"We have got Paul Bailey and a couple of other guys who can cover, but Messer is a specialist full-back and you do need a specialist."
Albion suffered their first home defeat of the season on Saturday, when they went down 26-22 to holders Munster A in the British & Irish Cup.
