PLYMOUTH Albion will welcome back the Barbarians to Brickfields later this year.

The Championship club have announced today that they will once again host the annual Remembrance Match between the Barbarian and Combined Services on November 12.

The club previously held the fixture in 2007 and 2008, with a number of Albion players featuring for the Barbarians in both those matches.

The announcement that they will be hosting the popular November game again comes in a week that Albion will be holding their first under-20 international game.

The Combined Services are also happy to be back playing in Plymouth.

Cdre Paddy McAlphine OBE RN, chairman of the Combined Services, said: "The Barbarians already have fixtures against England and Fiji this year so to add the Combined Services to their list is a huge honour.

"We are already working closely with the Barbarians and Plymouth Albion to ensure that this event is a huge success."

He added: "We have made a conscious decision to bring the game back to Plymouth because of their links with the dockyard.

"We know it will be a popular venue and will generate lots of local interest."
