Symons said: "These appointments demonstrate the determination of the board to grow the Trust's membership in the future.

"It's also a positive step towards providing the focus and drive needed to fully represent all Argyle supporters in ensuring that fans are at the heart of everything the club does.

"We will be working tirelessly to promote the Trust as the only wholly independent group that represents the fans."

Symons continued: "On a personal level, it's also a huge honour and privilege to be appointed to lead the Fans' Trust in the coming year.

"I look forward to working with both the Trust's members and the club's officials to promote the model of fan engagement, openness and transparency that James Brent has said will be at the core of his stewardship of the club.

"My message to supporters is very simple – if you aren't a member of the Trust you should join. It's the members who make the Trust what it is.

"We are also always looking for volunteers to help with our various initiatives, however little or much time you can spare.

"Finally, I would urge anyone and everyone who cares about the club to get to games, get behind the team, and play your part in helping the club rise up the table and away from the relegation zone."
