Animals on show at town's gallery
THE Gallery in Hatherleigh has an exhibition at the moment of animal paintings and photography.
There are African wildlife paintings by Michael Kitchen Hurle, a renowned artist who began painting wildlife at the age of 10.
His paintings are produced mainly in acrylic on canvas and the gallery is fortunate in hosting this artist's colourful and exciting work.
There are also paintings by Shan Miller, of animals found slightly nearer home than Africa, hounds and cattle among them.

The exhibition continues for a while longer – so escape the dull, drab weather outside and enjoy the gorgeous hues of giraffes, puffins and leopards inside the bright and attractive gallery. It is open on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
