Appeal as Seymour the missing raptor takes flight
A FALCONER has asked city people to be on the lookout for missing Seymour.
The ferruginous buzzard flew away in bad weather – and owner David Buncle is hoping his feathery friend will be spotted soaring in the skies of Plymouth.
David lost the working bird of prey while he was flying it for exercise last Sunday, September 23.
David, a professional falconer who owns Westcountry Falconry near Tavistock, said Seymour was tagged with a ring and was carrying two bells.

"I'm worried because when he went missing there was really bad weather," he said. "He could have sheltered lower to ground than normal, meaning he could have been picked up by a fox or a badger."
David said one sighting in Tedburn St Mary led to him finding another missing falcon which belonged to someone he knew.
One of David's other birds, Jacob the Harris Hawk, recently featured in The Herald when he was called into Home Park to help Plymouth Argyle scare troublesome pigeons away from the stadium.
