It already has a strong and enthusiastic team of presenters, broadcasting a diverse schedule of music and chat shows.

Martin Foster, who set up the station four years ago after working for many years in broadcasting, said: "Everyone involved in Riviera FM does so not for any financial reward — in fact they pay a small annual fee to help pay towards our running costs — but because we all enjoy sharing our love of music and community life in Torbay with others.

"It is fantastic to have a team of presenters who are so knowledgeable about a wide variety of musical genres.

"We broadcast live programmes from 10am up to midnight weekdays, and from 9am to midnight at weekends, switching to our 'autopilot' computer-based system during the night, so listeners can log on to Riviera FM right around the clock.

"We are now looking for other people in the Torbay area to join our team.

"We would welcome interest from people of all ages — our youngest broadcasters are still in their teens while our older presenters are enjoying their retirement.

"Getting involved in community radio on Riviera FM offers a great way for people interested in a career in broadcasting to gain some invaluable experience on the airwaves.

"On the other hand, some people who are looking for something stimulating to do in their spare time might find that joining us provides the perfect answer.

"As well as broadcasters, we are also keen to recruit volunteers to help keep our website up to date or to help with promotion and all-important admin activities. We also encourage volunteer staff to supplement the running of the station, promoting both volunteering and work placements."
