POLICE are appealing for witnesses to help piece together what happened to a night-time reveller discovered by paramedics with a serious head injury.

The man, believed to be in his 20's, cannot remember how he came to be injured sometime between 2am and 5am on a night out on Saturday, October 13.

Paramedics discovered him on Torquay seafront, opposite the former site of the hi-flyer balloon, with a severe head injury and other injuries to his body.

He was taken to Torbay Hospital where his condition is stable.

DC Steve Fleetwood said: "We don't know how he came by his injuries whether it was accidental or if there was an assault.

"We know the stretch of road is busy at that time of night with cars and taxis getting people home after a night out — we hope people will come forward to help us find out what happened."

The man is believed to have been drinking in the Country House pub in Ellacombe before walking through town and along the seafront. He was wearing jeans and a dark top.
