Former Argyle and England star Peter Shilton accused of drink driving
Former England goalkeeper Peter Shilton will appear in court later this month after being arrested for drink-driving, police have revealed.
The 63-year-old, who also played for and was manager of Plymouth Argyle, was arrested outside the home of a female friend in Manor Road, Colchester, Essex, on February 24 after allegedly being found to be driving with excess alcohol in his system.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "A 63-year-old man will appear at Colchester Magistrates' Court on March 19."
Shilton, of Kenilworth, Warwickshire, is England's most capped player, having made 125 appearances for his country.
