Arron Davies is ecstatic at Exeter's derby win
Arron Davies picked the perfect time to notch his first goal of the season – but a win for Exeter City in the Devon derby with Plymouth Argyle meant so much more.
Davies opened the scoring before Luke Young equalised for the Pilgrims, before a brilliant goal by Alan Gow and a late Scot Bennett strike sealed the Grecians' win.
"It was a great afternoon. It's all about winning on derby day, and especially with the way we played. From an individual point of view, it was great to get a goal and I was absolutely buzzing," Davies said.
"For five minutes afterwards, I didn't know where I was! I was so euphoric, absolutely ecstatic with the emotion of it.

"No one really got going in the first half, it was a bit tit-for-tat, but we knew, the longer the game went on, we would have the legs and more ability and I think that showed."
Davies also praised the role of former Pilgrim Gow, who set up the Welshman's goal before netting the vital second.
"You know, if you give Gowzer the ball, something is going to happen and, when I saw him turn, I just made my run," Davies said. "The weight of pass was brilliant and all I had to do was take a good touch and make a nice contact to put it in the back of the net.
"Gowzer has that bit of magic that we all wish for, but he has it in abundance. He was superb today – and his goal topped it off.
