A BEST-SELLING historical author from Dartmoor will be signing copies of his latest book in Waterstones next month.

Dr Ian Mortimer, who uses the pen-name James Forrester, will be signing copies of his latest work Sacred Treason and Medieval Intrigue, at Exeter's Waterstones on Thursday, September 16. He is best known for his work Time Traveller's Guide To The Middle Ages.

The author will also host a talk on writing historical fact and fiction. Tickets cost £3, and are available from the store and are refundable against purchases of Sacred Treason on the night. Doors open at 6pm.
