Author's lesson on writing best sellers
PUPILS at Churston Ferrers Grammar School were inspired by children's author Joe Delaney.
The school's English department organised the visit in conjunction with Torbay Bookshop in Paignton.

Joe was undertaking a book tour of the West Country and was exploring aspects of the writing journey.
He told students how he had first been inspired to create the Spooks series, how long it takes to write a book and the process which takes place before it is finally published.

He also explored the process of having his work filmed, having visited Vancouver in Canada in April to watch his novel The Spook's Apprentice being filmed.
Students queued to have a signed copy of one of his novels.
