Barcelona or bust is a challenge for bangers
IT'S Barcelona or bust for four intrepid motorists in two bangers as they try to make it to the Catalan capital and back to raise cash for charity.
The quartet – Neal Taynton-Young, Neil Worth, Simon Windsor and Damon Hicks – are among teams from across the country taking part in Barcelona or Bust 2012.

The event is run by the Round Table charity to raise funds for itself and two other good causes – Lam Action, which supports women suffering from lung disease, and Macmillan Cancer Support.
The challenge involves about 80 old cars, which must not have cost more than £350 each, travelling from St Austell, in Cornwall, to Barcelona via Plymouth and its Roscoff ferry link.

The cars, which set off yesterday must endeavour to make it 1,000 miles through France and Spain, arriving in Barcelona on Sunday.
Mr Taynton-Young and his wife Emma run Fireproof PR, based at Plymouth's Tamar Science Park.
He and his team bought two old cars, a 20-year-old Mazda 626 and a BMW, and have had them sponsored by Plymouth and Tavistock firms including Tavy Signs, Windsors of Tavistock, Tinhay Building Services, Vent-Axia, Westinsure, the Original Pasty House, DV8 Media, Georgina's Pet Supplies, Socksfox and Mansbridge and Balment.
Mr Taynton-Young's mother, Susan Young, has survived cancer, but, sadly, his father-in-law John Taynton, a well-known public relations consultant from Tavistock, died from cancer last year.
"It's raising awareness for the three charities," Mr Taynton-Young said. "And we are going to try to grab money as we go along. And as long as the car makes it back, we'll sell it for the charities too."
Sian Harris, fundraising manager for Macmillan in Plymouth, said: "What these guys are doing will make a big difference to local people and services."
