A NORTH Devon charity will be on TV next week in the run up to the BBC Children In Need.

Families in Grief won a grant from Children in Need to fund their first part time co-ordinator. Now the BBC has been to Sticklepath Children's Centre in Barnstaple to film families who have been helped by FiG over the past few months.

FiG supports children, young people and their families in North Devon and the Torridge area who have experienced the death of someone close to them. It runs projects in Barnstaple and Bideford for children and their parents that include making memory boxes and coloured salt sculptures where each colour represents something about the person who died.

FiG will be on Spotlight on BBC One next week as part of its week-long focus on projects helped by Children In Need. Children In Need is on Friday, November 16.
