Bideford held by St Neots in Evo-Stik League Southern
BIDEFORD had to settle for a goalless draw at home to St Neots in the Evo-Stik League Southern premier division this afternoon.
Both teams went close to a winner in the closing stages as Sean Downing, the Robins' winger, hit the post and Ben Mackey struck the crossbar for the visitors.

Sean Downing went close to breaking the deadlock
After the 5-3 defeat in the away fixture in November, Bideford were far tighter defensively this time with Aaron Harper-Penman and Rob Farkins leading a strong display from the back four.
The point keeps them 15th in the table, one place and two points below St Neots. Bideford are at home again on Tuesday when Cambridge City visit the Sports Ground.

Witheridge returned to free-scoring form in the Carlsberg South West Peninsula League with a 6-0 win away to Penzance, the premier division's bottom team.
