Bomb disposal experts deal with Paignton rock pool flare
BOMB disposal experts were called to Saltern Cove after a Paignton couple discovered a suspicious device in a rock pool.
Barry and Lee Hayward were walking when they spotted the military device (pictured) stuck in between rocks.

The Torbay coastguard team secured the area and alerted the Royal Navy's bomb disposal team in Plymouth.
A coastguard spokesman said: "It was a military parachute distress flare.

"The explosive ordnance department attended and disposed of the device on the beach."
Lee said: "It was on Monday at about 3pm. We saw this green cannister in a rock pool and phoned the coastguard.
"Then we waited nearby because we thought it would be really difficult for them to find it among all the rocks."
