Boomtown Rats heading for Chagstock festival
BOB Geldof's Boomtown Rats will headline this summer's Chagstock South Devon music festival.
It will be one of only two UK shows this year for the original line-up of the band, who had hits in the 1970s and 1980s with songs including Rat Trap, I Don't Like Mondays and Lookin' After Number One.

The festival takes place near Whiddon Down on July 19 and 20, and the Boomtown Rats will headline the Saturday night.
They join a line-up which also includes Billy Bragg and a host of other local and national acts. The Rats will be Bob Geldof, Pete Briquette, Garry Roberts and Simon Crowe, who lives close to the festival site.

The band earned Brit Awards, Ivor Novellos and Grammys. They made history as the first Irish band to have a UK no 1 hit with Rat Trap.
Bob Geldof said: "It's a beautiful part of the world. Billy Bragg is a hero. The Rats are a great band. It will be a pleasure to do the Rat in Devon again." Simon Ford from Chagstock Festival added: "They are a classic band with a string of memorable hits. Combined with Billy Bragg's performance immediately before the Boomtown Rats, Chagstock 2013 is shaping up to be our best line up ever — and we still have a number of major artists to announce."
