Bovey Tracey elephant causes a stir on the M4
A papier-mâché elephant from Bovey Tracey has raised some eyebrows after being spotted heading down the M4 on Sunday, February 24.
The elephant stunned drivers as it took the 70mph trip towards Heathrow on the back of a truck.

A representative of The Jolly Roger said:
“Normally our models are covered as they are sent around the country. This is unusual as it is actually the customer moving it from one spot to another and that is why you can see it fully.
We have taken our models to quite a few carnivals and have pictures of our T-rex which is about 20ft on the back of trailer.”
Adding: “Our models do end up in all sorts of places from fairgrounds to outside Graze in Bath.
In Exeter we have a model at Fishes in Cowick Street, of a 6ft Mackerel, and a chef at Anna Maries in Fore Street.”
