Boy, 10, knocked off his bike in Lynton 'hit-and-run'
A 10-year-old boy who was cycling through a car park in Lynton yesterday was struck by a car in an alleged hit-and-run.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which occurred in the car park of The Crown pub at around 5.30pm.
Detective Constable Mark Hendry said the youngster suffered “bumps and bruises” after the silver car drove into the car park and reportedly knocked him off his bike before driving off.
He said: “The young lad was on his push bike when he was struck by the car and sent flying. The driver failed to stop and drove off.
