Brothers aim for Three Peaks with charity challenge
TORQUAY brothers are taking on the Three Peaks Challenge for the cystic fibrosis trust.
Steve Sherwood, 40, and his brothers Kevin, 42, and Paul, 36, are climbing Ben Nevis, Snowdon and Scarfell Pike in 24 hours for Steve's five-year son Samuel who has cystic fibrosis.
Steve, an employee at South Devon College, said: " Since the diagnosis, I have taken part in a variety of fundraising events and my wife and I also sell raffle tickets and do other small fundraising events.
"The idea for the Three Peaks Challenge came from my desire to do a bigger event that would generate more interest and hopefully raise more money.

"We all love the great outdoors and are all quite sporty and thought this would be a good challenge to aim for.
"We are also not getting any younger, so I think there was probably an element of us proving that we are not yet past it."
Kevin runs the family business in Torbay and Paul works for the Ministry of Defence in Hampshire.
The trio have raised almost £1,400, close to their £2,000 target.
Steve said: "We have used Facebook, Twitter, email, posters, and general word of mouth to try and get donations.
"We are all training regularly with treks across Dartmoor, mountain biking, and regular sessions in the gym or playing five-a-side football."
