Burglars take £10,000 haul of jewellery from Exeter home

The latest victim in a series of burglaries in Devon lost jewellery worth more than £10,000, including items dating back more than a century.

Police are appealing for information following a break in at a house in Whitestone, Exeter, on February 26.

Wedding and engagement rings, necklaces, watches, cufflinks and earrings, some from the early 1900s, were taken.

Thieves forced their way through a garage and a doubled glazed window in an incident detectives believe is linked to linked to a series of burglaries in the South Hams, Teignbridge and Exeter.
