Burst water main affects homes in Newton Abbot area
DOZENS of properties in Newton Abbot and Kingsteignton are without water due to a burst main.
Exeter Road in Kingsteignton is closed while South West Water engineers are working on fixing the problem.
A South West Water spokesman said: “We were alerted to a burst water main on Exeter Road, Kingsteignton, by the police at 6.50am.
“Technicians have been on site since 7am working to repair the pipe.”

Around 110 properties are affected and 97 residents have been texted to advise them of the situation.
The supply should be restored by 1pm.
The SWW spokesman said: “We would like to apologise to our customers for the inconvenience and thank them for their patience while we complete this emergency repair.”
Properties in the TQ12 3 and TQ13 0 areas are affected.
