Bus firm unveils five-star fleet
Bus users are getting a sneak preview of Stagecoach’s £2 million new luxury bus service in a series of roadshows.
Stagecoach Gold will connect the English Riviera with Plymouth or Dartmouth. A luxurious fleet of nine buses feature leather seats and free Wi-Fi and come with guaranteed service standards.
A spokesman said: “Road shows will be manned by drivers of the new service who will be on hand to answer any questions, giveaway timetables, free gifts and — for the first 100 lucky visitors on each day — special ‘golden ticket’ family Explorer vouchers.
“These can only be redeemed on the new service and give up to two adults and three children the chance to experience a day out on Gold for free.
NEW FROM SYMPLY - a wet dog food in a tray freshly steamed with real meat and veg you can see minimum of 68% meat content up to 72% in the adult trays.

“The introduction of the flagship ‘five-star’ brand to Devon is a coup for customers as it is reserved for only a select number of locations across the country.”
Michael Watson, managing director at Stagecoach South West, said: “I hope people will take the opportunity to visit the roadshow and experience a Gold bus for themselves before we even go into service.
“These vehicles really are something a bit special — there’s extra leg room, leather seats and free Wi-Fi and the engines are among the most environmentally-friendly on the road. They really do bring a bit of luxury to bus travel.”
The brand new fleet will run between Torquay, Paignton, Totnes and Plymouth or Dartmouth from Monday September 30, operating up to every 30 minutes, seven days a week between Torquay, Paignton and Totnes and then offering an hourly connection to either Dartmouth or Plymouth via Ivybridge.
The roadshow stopped off in Torquay yesterday, is at the Glanvilles Mill shopping centre, Ivybridge, today and will be held at Victoria Street, Paignton, tomorrow.
On Thursday it moves to the South Embankment, near the Pontoon in Dartmouth, before making a final call at Plymouth Piazza on Friday.
