Car park opened by football icon Peter Shilton
FOOTBALLING legend Peter Shilton was delighted with the warm reception from Cullompton residents when he arrived to open the town's new car park.
The goalkeeper, who is England's most capped player, was invited to do the honours on Friday by close friend and site owner Reg Payne.

Shilton told the crowd who gathered at the Exeter Hill car park: "I didn't realise we would have as many people as we do here today, but it is a real pleasure to come and open the new car park."
It is hoped the new bays will benefit the town's independent traders and the Hayridge.
