Police and Highways Agency officers closed the inside lane causing traffic to move slowly from the Weston Mill off slip as cars merged into the outside lane and past the scene just before the slip-road onto Manadon Roundabout.
No injuries were reported and the road was cleared by 11:45am.
The Nissan was taken away on a recovery vehicle.
