Firefighters helped to stabilise a house in Taunton, Somerset, after a car crashed through the rear wall of a garage.

Crews were alerted to the incident in Highgrove at 11.15am after the owner reported that the gas boiler had been damaged in the collision.

When firefighters arrived the owner was out of the vehicle, and unhurt, and the gas supply had been isolated.

Crews winched the damaged car clear while using props to prevent further damage to the building.
