“Apartfrom the inconvenience of not being able to drive a car for a year or so, there seems to be little in the way of a financial deterrent for drink driving. £110 seems to be the going rate. Why not a 5 year ban and £1000 fine?”

“I agree lkpflk it OK to punch and kick someone as long as you don't put them in hospital in a coma or kill them, that's the message to ALL THESE THUGS AND SO CALLED HARD MEN AND WOMEN of this fine country NOT.PLUS THE COURTS GET MORE IN FINES THAN THE VICTIM ????.”

“Isn`t it worrying that assault does not carry a custodial sentence anymore. However, refuse to pay a part or whole of your Council Tax, and inside you go.”
