DANCE into the weekend with top Ceilidh band, The Watch. The band play at a barn dance, hosted by Bideford Ceilidh Club.

The Watch like to play traditional tunes and to play around with those tunes. Most are English melodies, although some are imports from Quebec and Cajun styles. They have also taken tunes from the banjo-heavy end-of-the-pier tradition and re-invented them to make them work for dancing.

Local caller John Blackburn will be there to guide everyone through the dances. Everyone is welcome, whether to dance or listen.

The Watch are at Tawstock Village Hall on Friday, March 8, 8pm. Bring and share supper. Free soft drinks. Details: 01237 476632.
