Changing roles for building society staff
THE team at Chelsea Building Society's branch in Paignton's Hyde Road are familiar faces in their local neighbourhood.
But during January they will be working behind a different counter – at the RSPCA's shop around the corner in Torquay Road.
On each of the next three Monday mornings, members of Chelsea's Paignton team will be volunteering at the RSCPA shop, serving customers, sorting and preparing stock, and learning more about the running of the charity.
Chelsea customer consultant Rebecca McDonald, who organised the challenge, said: "The society recently launched a new affinity account, RSPCA Saver, to benefit the leading animal charity.

"The RSPCA's shops are self-funding and we wanted to do something to show our support for our local RSPCA.
"As a branch, we thought it would be nice to show our appreciation by volunteering to help out in the shop, giving us an insight into how the charity works from within and the opportunity to learn more about what it does."
