Charity music festival at Lighter Inn, Topsham, raises £1,000 for Macmillan
The quay at Topsham rocked to an eclectic mix of musical talent on Sunday, as crowds enjoyed a festival in aid of cancer charity Macmillan.
More than £1,000 was raised at the event, organised and hosted by Stuart Crook, new landlord of the town’s popular Lighter Inn.
Stuart also performed at the event, playing guitar alongside barmaid and vocalist Dora Cleave.
Hundreds gathered on the quay to hear music from a local artists, while fire engines provided advice and entertainment for youngsters, a raffle and barbecue was held to raise funds for the charity, and cakes baked by the Lighter staff also helped boost the coffers.

Topsham’s own Alex Kumar topped the line-up, which also featured Forever 27, Lunatic Library, Big Fat Astronauts, The Jax, Paul Kouatchou, Sweet Armageddon, Jamie Boyle, Dan Akimbo and John Waft.
