Charity walk is solely for men
A NEW fundraising event will hit North Devon next year in the shape of North Devon Hospice's ManTrek.
ManTrek, a sponsored walk along the Tarka Trail finishing at Barnstaple Rugby Club "just for the guys of North Devon", is the perfect day out for walkers or rugby fans.

TREK: Applegate staff with beer and pasties.
Once at Pottington Road the chaps will enjoy a well-earned free pint while watching the England vs Ireland RBS Six Nations match on big screens. The sponsored event, which will take place on Sunday, February 10, will raise funds for the hospice and was created due to demand from local men.
Gerard Fawcitt, from the hospice's fundraising team, said: "For many years we've run Nightwalk, a ladies-only trek along the Tarka Trail, but we have always had boyfriends and husbands saying there should be something similar for the guys.

"Well, here it is. We're thrilled to be launching ManTrek and believe it will be really popular."
Walkers can choose either an 11-mile route, starting at Bideford Rugby Club, or a 7-mile route starting at Instow Yacht Club.
Everyone will be fuelled with a free hot pasty, courtesy of Blackwells of Bideford, at the halfway stage at Fremington Quay Café.
And after arriving at the finish line, participants will also enjoy a well-earned free pint, thanks to St Austell Brewery.
"It will be great to get several hundred people together to watch the game," Gerard added.
One group already excited at the prospect of a pasty, pint and game of rugby are the employees of Pottington-based company Applegate.
The company is sponsoring the event and its male employees are raring to get involved.
"The guys here think it's a brilliant idea. They can't wait to sign up and think it will be a cracking day out," said Applegate CEO Tom Keeping. Some of our guys are big rugby fans, but others are more looking forward to the walk and the pint at the end of it."
