Chef's after-school course for pupils a real hit
Healthy eating was on the menu after a chef called into a Cornish school to give children cookery lessons.
Benedict Quinn, who works as a private chef and has also taught at Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Cornwall, gave more than 20 children at St Agnes School an insight into some of the tricks of the trade in a four-week after-school course.

He said it was a real hit: "I grew up in a large family and cooking was incredibly important to me. "We're teaching the children to share and enjoy food which is part of the fun of making it." School headteacher Carol Wint said: "It is really good to extend learning about food and cooking beyond the confines of the curriculum."
The course was so successful there are now plans to run sessions for parents and teachers.
