Chiefs star backing charity partnership
SIRELI Naqelevuki, the Exeter Chiefs and Fijian international rugby star, was on hand to help at the official launch of a new partnership between Bishop's Move and Scope.
The player, who is sponsored by the removals company, joined volunteers and employees as they formed a human chain to pass a bag of donated items from a van to the charity's shop in Sidwell Street.
The national partnership involves Bishop's Move providing their customers with Scope charity donation sacks prior to their move. Should the customers wish to donate any unwanted items to the charity, Bishop's Move staff will collect and store the items on the day of the move ready to be picked up by Scope's representatives.
The company has already collected more than £15,000 worth of items for the charity, ranging from clothes to electrical equipment. Eddy Hall, Bishop's Move Exeter general manager, said: "I would like to thank Sireli for giving up his time to come and help us celebrate this charitable partnership, which is going to give so much to those who really need it." Founded in 1854, Bishop's Move is now the largest family-owned removals company in the UK, employing 350 staff across 25 branches, including its site on the Sowton Industrial Estate.
