THE most indulgent week of the year is upon us and two Exeter stores are helping us to celebrate with our favourite sweet treat.
National Chocolate Week takes place from October 14 to 20 and Marks & Spencer are marking it with a selection of goodies – including delicious new chocolate bars.
Each bar is Fairtrade, with sugar and chocolate bought directly from small producers, guaranteeing a fair price and investment in local projects in cocoa farming communities. The bars are then created by third-generation chocolatiers in a family owned factory in Milan. With a huge range of extra special flavours from Sicilian sea salt to Italian orange, you'll be spoilt for choice.
M&S are also offering some more unusual chocolate treats like Hot Chocolate Vodka (£13.99, 50cl), with a warming hint of chilli, Chocolate Ruby (£8.99), a fortified wine infused with chocolate essence and from the Flavours of the World range, have fun baking with a Marlette Fondant Mix (450g, £5.49).

Meanwhile chocolate experts Hotel Chocolat of Princesshay are marking the week with their latest autumn range.
Fresh with the colours of turning leaves, full of fruity flavours and crisp, crunchy nuts – the special collection is perfect for sharing this autumn.
Key products from the new range are the Peanut and Caramel Snuggle giant slab (500g £16), roasted peanuts wrapped in a blanket of caramel chocolate and milk chocolate with caramel pieces and a pinch of sea salt. And the Squirrels Stash (£5), praline-filled walnut, caramel truffle acorns and praline-filled hazelnuts (with a whole nut tucked inside!).
