WHEN a correspondent such as Richard Coleman (December 20) wishes to impose censorship on the views of certain writers, it is quite obvious those views are touching a raw nerve and might yet achieve the desired result.

With reference to Mr Coleman's description of Mr Elder's "religious rantings", I suggest a much kinder description would be "Christian Instructions for Right Living", for which any fair minded person should feel grateful.

Whilst such articles may be "a lot of codswallop in his book", perhaps Mr Coleman should instead turn his attention to "God's Book", for it is to Him that he will be required to answer at the last!

“I don't remember seeing either Mr Coleman's or Mr Elder's letters, but the adjectives codswallop and religious rantings certainly apply to Mr Rogers'.”
