Coach and fly half combine to keep Bideford winning
MARK PRIEST and Stefan James have been credited with pulling the strings behind Bideford's unbeaten run.
Bideford have kept the pressure on Tribute Western Counties (west) leaders St Austell with six wins and a draw from their last seven games, scoring 33 tries.
And that, said Kevin Booth, was largely down to the structure devised by Priest, his fellow coach, and implemented on the field by James, the fly half.
"Mark Priest has got a very good pedigree in coaching and his game-play scenarios are giving us more structure," said Booth.

"Stefan James has embraced that and he is calling the next play halfway through the previous one. He's controlling it really well.
"We have a simple plan with simple calls and the guys have really embraced it."
The club's second team, the Harlequins, have adopted the same structure and are unbeaten all season.
"We all train together – we're one big club," said Booth.
"Last Thursday, we had two full sets of forwards and two full sets of backs at training, which was brilliant.
"The Quins are doing the same lineout calls, the same game plans, the same moves.
"The second-team players who have come in to the first team have taken their chances and done well and they can keep the shirts until they are beaten by someone else."
