Corn saved from barn fire in Tiverton

Five tonnes of corn were removed from a barn in Tiverton after a fire broke out in a grain dryer.

Firefighters from Witheridge, Bampton, Tiverton and the water carrier from Danes Castle in Exeter were sent to the blaze at Bickham Barton, Rackenford in Tiverton at 12:32pm today.

The incident involved one grain dryer which was well alight inside a barn.

The grain dryer contained five tonnes of corn which fire crews removed to open ground.
