Councillor faces more calls to quit

A Cornwall councillor at the centre of a storm over his claim that disabled children "should be put down" has been kicked out of his political group.
Independent councillor Collin Brewer has been universally condemned over the remarks he made to a volunteer from the Disability Cornwall charity at an equalities event held at County Hall in Truro in 2011. Councillor Brewer has apologised repeatedly and yesterday said he was "considering resigning" from his Wadebridge East ward as calls were made from the public, councillors, charities, and even model Katie Price, who has a disabled son, for him to go.
