Festive celebrations have begun in a magical way at a National Trust estate in Devon.

Colourful decorations depicting all the gifts listed in The Twelve Days of Christmas song have been put up at Killerton Estate near Exeter. Volunteers have been working since September to create handmade decorations for the house, including those in the entrance hall using 2,600 beads and 1kg of glitter. Three 20ft Christmas trees have been placed in front of the house and ten 6ft trees decorated by local schoolchildren will form part of the Killerton Christmas tree festival.
