Countryside fund grant for charity
THE Prince's Countryside Fund has awarded educational charity Farming and Countryside Education (Face) a grant for its Countryside Matters programme.
It will help Face to target schools in disadvantaged areas and offer them activities including professional development for teachers, farm visits and other school-based projects.
Face chief executive Bill Graham said: "This new funding will mean we can target another 150 schools.
"This means that an additional 9,000 pupils will be inspired to learn about where their food comes from, the importance of farming and its benefit for the natural landscape."
