Crash on Gdynia Way in Plymouth leaves car on bank

A driver has been taken to hospital after a collision on a major route of Plymouth

At 1.18pm today two vehicles collided on the outbound lane of Gdynia Way.

The crash, involving a Peugeot 207 and a large goods vehicle, left the car on banking beside the road.

The driver suffered minor injuries but was taken to Derriford Hospital by ambulance.

The incident left traffic queuing in both directions on Gdynia Way and the A379 Laira Bridge Road.

The road was cleared and reopened at 2:48pm.
