A SEAN Szabo header gave Crediton United a 2-1 pre-season friendly win over Topsham Town on Tuesday night.

The Devon & Exeter side had looked likely to hold on for a draw when they got back on level terms following Ali Sawyer's opening goal from the penalty spot.

But Szabo had the last word and United chairman Dave Blanchford declared himself delighted with how his side's pre-season campaign has gone so far.

He said: "I am very pleased. We have had three good friendlies, all of them very competitive, and I think it's been really worthwhile.

"There wasn't much between us and Topsham and it made for a cracking game."

Crediton are looking for someone to serve as their regular linesman.

And the club is also searching for a physio.

If you are interested in either position call Blanchford on 01363 775440.
