Crocodile wrestling – all in a day's work
This is the moment two Cornishmen grappled with a giant crocodile in aid of research.
Luke Evans, of Goldsithney, Penwith, and Isaac Field, of Penryn, joined a team to capture and tag the monster – thought to be one of the biggest crocs ever caught – in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo.

The beast measured more than five metres long.
Mr Evans, 24, a former Mounts Bay Academy student who is in the country studying estuarine, or saltwater, crocodiles as part of his higher education research, said: "When we first saw the crocodile, it was in the trap and it was clear to me that it was going to measure in at more than five metres.

"The feeling was pure excitement, these are the kind of days that make me love my PhD.
"It's the third crocodile we have tagged in the Kinabatangan River in Sabah – this one was considerably larger than the other two."
The work is part of a continuing project being carried out as part of a study at Danau Girang Field Centre (DGFC), aiming to understand the long-term movements of the animals.
It took the combined efforts of a 12-man team to pull the animal from its trap before it was tagged.
"The 5.2-metre individual is, to our knowledge, the largest ever tagged, eclipsing the previous record of 4.65-metre carried out in Australia," said Mr Evans.
The team studied the crocodile, measured it and carried out other research before releasing it back into the wild.

“There is a statue of Krys in Normanton, Queensland, an estaurine crocodile that it is claimed was 8.63m (28 ft 4 ins) long. It was christened the Savannah King and was captured at MacArthur Bank, Norman River, Normanton, July 1957 by Krystina Pawloski. My 24 year old daughter has just left there and she has sent me a photo where she fits completely into his mouth (of the life size statue I must add).”
