Danny Leadbitter to miss Torquay United cup contest in preparation for Bradford trip
Manager Martin Ling has pulled right-back Danny Leadbitter out of the Torquay United team to play Liverton United in tonight's Devon St Luke's Challenge Cup second-round tie at Coach Road, Newton Abbot (7.30pm).
The former Newcastle United prospect, 22, would normally be booked for a game this evening, but Ling said: "With Joe Oastler suspended at Bradford City on Saturday, Danny is in line to play there, so he won't be risked in the Devon Cup. Damon Lathrope won't play either, but that's because I think he's had enough football of late."

Apart from those two absentees, United are fielding all their fit 'reserves' plus a couple of scholars to face Liverton, who are tasting Carlsberg South West Peninsula League Premier Division football for the first time this season under experienced manager Tony Bowker.
The Gulls' line-up includes two players who saw action in last Saturday's 2-1 npower League Two home win over Dagenham and Redbridge – winger Niall Thompson and striker Ashley Yeoman – plus recent loan signing Angus MacDonald, from Reading, at centre-back.

It will also be a chance for Karl Baker, the former Stoke Gabriel winger, to show a local audience how he is coming along under full-time training.
Ling said: "We'll play the same formation as the first team. As long as we stay in this competition, and with us not having a reserve programme, these games are important to us. I'm looking for a good, solid display and people getting 90 minutes under their belts."
The match is being played at the 'neutral' venue of the Devon County Football Association headquarters in Newton Abbot.
United emerged from the Dagenham victory without any new injuries to worry Ling before he takes his squad to Bradford.
Torquay United (4-2-3-1): Rice; R Nardiello, MacDonald, McKenzie, Cruise; Artemi, May; Thompson, Halpin, Baker; Yeoman. Substitutes: To be confirmed.
