Davis Wood Hockey League: Back to back wins propel Plymouth Marjon into Premiership top three
BACK to back weekend winners Plymouth Marjon extended their victory roll to five Premiership matches and soared to third in the Davis Wood Hockey League.
Already on a high after recent wins over top four rivals Isca and Team Bath Buccs, Plymouth won 4-1 at eighth-placed University of Exeter B on Saturday.
On Sunday they won 5-3 at ninth-placed Cardiff University to overtake one-time promotion favourites Robinsons of Bristol.
With three rounds of games remaining in the men's top flight, Plymouth are on course to exceed head coach Jamie Oxley's high expectations of a top-four finish.
