Defeats for two Tiverton sides
TIVERTON seconds were made to pay for a slow start after they slipped to a 38-23 defeat at home against Paignton seconds.
The home side conceded an early try and were 12-0 down after 20 minutes.
But they fought back valiantly and took a 16-12 lead, thanks largely to Calum Stone's accurate kicking and a fine solo try by Ben Vickery.
The second half started badly with Paignton taking the lead and Tivvy never regaining it.

Tiverton were trailing 24-23 with 15 minutes to go after they had a pushover try grounded by captain Adrian Jary, but Paignton extended their lead.
Visitors Tiverton thirds made the trip to South Molton seconds with just 15 players, and a lack of numbers was to cost them in a 15-6 defeat.
Tivvy went down to 14 players through injury and struggled from that moment on, but were kept in it with penalties from Nick Pugsley and Keith Sampson.
